at Anchor Dental

345 W Portal Ave #210, San Francisco, CA 94127

Our practice is committed to using the latest proven technologies for patient care. Here are some of the technologies that we use:

DEXIS Digital Radiography

When you have x-rays taken in our office, we will be using the award-winning Dexis digital x-ray system.

Dexis is high performance technology that’s environmentally friendly (no more film or chemicals) and reduces the patient’s exposure to radiation. Patients will see the digital x-ray images immediately as they appear on a computer screen.

Dexis Dental ImagingI am able to enlarge the images, change the contrast and shading and see potential problem areas with much greater accuracy. This technology is very beneficial for diagnosis, treatment planning and including the patient in shared decision-making.

Using the software-based digital radiography’s image enhancement functions such as magnification, brightness control, and heightened contrast, you can bring out aspects of the x-ray that simply aren’t visible on film.

Precise LTM Diode Laser

Our practice utilizes Precise® LTM state-of-the-art diode laser technology. The laser assists us in maintaining oral soft tissue health, including the management of periodontal pockets, the treatment of canker sores and cold sores, and in oral biopsy procedures.

Surgical Grade Magnification

Dental procedures are essentially microsurgery and our practice utilizes HiRes® Plus prismatic loupes from Surgitel. This level of magnification allows for incredibly precise and esthetic results. Our dental loupes are also able to incorporate a beam of light from an LED power source to enhance the doctor’s field of vision and improve patient outcomes.

SolmeteX Hg5®

Keeping Our Water System Safe with an Amalgam Separator. The SolmeteX Hg5® system removes amalgam from dental vacuum lines before it enters the wastewater stream. The mercury is trapped in a removable and recyclable cartridge, thus ensuring the amalgam is not incinerated, does not enter our water supply or end up in a landfill.

The Hg5 collects the amalgam; the spent cartridge is packaged with provided packaging and labeling materials and shipped via UPS® to Mercury Waste Solutions, an US EPA certified mercury recycler, where the mercury is recycled.

Our office recycles our filters every 6 months according to the manufacturer recommendations and copies of the recycling certificates are available at our office.

Dexcam Intraoral Camera

DEXcam™ 3, a USB-2 intra-oral video camera, helps us achieve superior clinical diagnostics and functions as an excellent tool for patient education and communication.

DEXcam 3 features a seven-element glass optical lens, four bright LEDs and an internal prism that provide optimal lighting and a Sony® CCD sensor for sharp, high-definition image quality.

Our staff can record images with a simple press of a button, then save the images into the patient record with a two-second press.

Vizilite Pro

Vizilite Pro uses fluorescence technology as a means of enhancing the visualization of oral mucosa to help us identify potentially malignant and cancerous lesions at the earliest stages. The ViziLite PRO is easy and painless to use and provides a method to detect suspicious changes in oral tissues.
